OUR VISION

CVA's Vision is to provide a platform for learning the oldest form of musical traditions, Carnatic Vocal at the click of your fingers. We provide face-to-face or online lessons led by a teacher OR you could choose to subscribe to the Video-led lessons online.

OUR LESSON FORMAT

Teacher-led Sessions are divided into Carnatic Vocal, Technical Vocal and Theoretical Sessions.

Carnatic Vocal session teaches the basics of musical notes (Swaras), rhythmic beat (Taala) and singing in different speeds (Laya). The syllabus encompasses starting with Sarali Varasais, Janti Varasais, Hechu Sthayi, Mandra Sthayi, Dhattu Varisais, Alankarams and the students will progress to learn Geetams, Swarajathi, Jathiswarams, Varnams and Keertanams.
Technical Vocal session will include learning Vedic verses (Shlokas), Nottuswarams, Bhajans, Devotional Songs and a variety of Indian Film musical pieces influenced by Carnatic Music. This session will enhance the students ability to modulate their voice as well as learn to sing using a karaoke.
The Carnatic and Technical sessions are complimented by our Theoretical sessions where students will learn the history, culture and familiarize themselves with Carnatic terminology.

If students choose to, we offer accredited examinations for Carnatic vocal, opportunities to perform in external shows while the students can utilise the online material for their everyday practise. All Teachers and Staff are DBS Certified.

An alternative to our Teacher-led sessions are our Video-led sessions, available 24/7, anywhere, anytime as long as you are Subscribed. These sessions provide you with a wealth of material to guide you through your Carnatic music journey to complete your graded exams at your doorstep.

MEET THE TEAM

Esha Ramesh

Esha Ramesh, is an accomplished Carnatic singer who had the privilege of starting her music journey at a young age, where she was exposed to both Western and Indian music. She was a student of late Sri T.V. Muttacharya where she honed the skills of Carnatic music. She later has performed in various Indian shows with legendary singers.

Her vast experience and dedication to Carnatic vocal music has resulted in her being able to teach Carnatic vocal lessons to many students globally. She is also an examiner at OCN Accredited Examination Boards.
